Career Goals: Hopes to attend a four year university to major in business administration and management.  

Presidents are present at all meetings, work with other officers on various initiatives and projects throughout the year, connect with members, and meet with advisors weekly to plan meetings.

The VP of membership recruits members to be a part of FCCLA, promotes involvement in activities and events, invites members to meetings, and helps keep track of active members through the recording of sign-in sheets.

The VP of community service creates service projects around the school and community, works with members of the community, runs blood drives.

Career Goals: Plans on attending Northwest University to study Elementary Education and become an elementary educator in our community.


 

The VP of public relations works with the chapter's social media accounts, spreads the word about upcoming events and dates throughout the year, and keeps the Bulletin Boards up to date for members.

The Vice President of recognition focuses on the retention of members in FCCLA through promoting involvement in activities and events, inviting members to meetings, recognizing members through the member of the month awards, and helping keep track of active members through recording of sign-in sheets.

Career Goals: Hopes to attend Washington State University to study either criminology or education.

The Vice President of Programs leads the involvement of our chapter in FCCLA's National Programs. This includes community service through blood drives, power of one through goal setting, and more.

Career Goals: Hopes to attend Western Washington University to study chemistry.

The Vice President of STAR Events guides members to success in FCCLA's competitive event program, Students Taking Action With Recognition. This includes leading STAR Event workshops, guiding competitors, and more.

Career Goals: Hopes to attend the University of Montana to study elementary and special education.

The Vice President of Finance manages all fundraising and financial reports for our chapter. This includes budgeting, holding fundraisers, and approving chapter purchases.

Career Goals: Hopes to attend the University of Washington to study veterinary sciences.

The Secretary takes notes at meetings, keeps records organizes chapter reports. The Secretary releases important information to school broadcasting, and keeps calendar updated with important dates.

Ms. Aszklar

"My name is Ms. Aszklar and I am a Sumner High School FCCLA Co-Adviser and Family & Consumer Science Teacher. I have been an adviser for 9 years now and love every minute of it. As an adviser, I assist the officers in planning events for Sumner FCCLA. I also work with students on STAR Events projects and overall help in any way possible. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and exercise!"

"Hello, my name is Janine Sather. I am one of the Sumner High School FCCLA Advisors. I have been an FCCLA Advisor at SHS for 30 years. I love watching our members grow as leaders, gain confidence, and impact their community. I am proud to guide and support theses amazing young people. Beyond being an FCCLA Advisor and FCS teacher, I love spending time with my family and enjoying the great outdoors."
