Program of Work
Our Program of Work provides an outline of activities that our chapter plans
to do throughout the year to emphasize the purposes of FCCLA, promote FCS, and participate in the National Programs of FCCLA. The aim of each meeting, event, and conference that our chapter participates in is to develop our members' skills in the context of FCCLA's purposes while helping members connect these skills to Family and Consumer Sciences. Through our Program of Work, we hope to provide opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership to our members and prepare them for all aspects of their futures.
FCCLA's Purposes Are:
-
To provide opportunities for personal development and preparation for adult life.
-
To strengthen the function of the family as a basic unit of society.
-
To encourage democracy through cooperative action in the home and community.
-
To encourage individual and group involvement in helping achieve global cooperation and harmony.
-
To promote greater understanding between youth and adults.
-
To provide opportunities for making decisions and for assuming responsibilities.
-
To prepare for the multiple roles of men and women in today's society.
